Engaging outdoor wit and wisdom from two awesome local adventurers!
After meeting one of the ruggedly handsome hosts on a local trail and getting some tips on running, I figured I could give the podcast a try. Full disclosure: I am not a talk-radio fan and usually lose interest in podcasts after a few minutes... but not so with Single Track! From the first one I listened to, I was hooked! The guys are so real; it feels like I’m sitting at a local hikers’ hangout listening to these guys bantering and I keep inching closer to overhear more of their epic conversation. The kind of people you want to walk over to and buy them beers to keep them talking (and perhaps get lucky enough to join them). Educated, witty, and passionate about their outdoors lives. What an amazing show! I’ve learned a lot about the area by listening to several episodes now (which has surprised me as I am a Pacific Northwest local), picked up some practical tips on running, and even tried out listening to them while I went on a run (it was a nice break from my usual music playlist). The personable way they connect with each other and their audience and the quirky outdoor humor has me wanting more and more. From a listener perspective, this is the kind of podcast I will always enjoy. Sometimes I pause segments to ponder a point, or more often I have to backtrack because I’ve laughed out loud and lost whatever came next. It’s easy to engage with the topics and keeps my attention. Even the creativity in the titles can elicit a chuckle as I click through to the next episode. Highly recommended!
