“I have listened to every episode of SWaK and have been listening weekly for over 10 years.
There is no doubt that some excellent work is put into this podcast, Marsh is worth listening to alone, but I think the podcast needs to grow. Some episodes it takes something like 20 minutes to get to the actual journalistic content whilst we listen to small talk and anecdotes which are surely only relevant to the immediate social circle of the hosts. Unfortunately, I struggle to recommend this podcast to anyone as there is too much irrelevant filler and not enough actual skepticism. Other podcasts that have been going for this length of time have become more professional and keep this sort of thing to a minimum. Alice and Marsh provide some excellent input but please don’t make us skip through so much filler to actually get to it!
Who so this podcast for? Surely it’s aims are to promote critical thinking worldwide? How is a podcast which seems to be largely aimed at a small group of people (who know the hosts personally) supposed to do this? Is this same group of people who organised the 10:23 campaign? You have formed a social group of other critical thinkers, well done, but please step out of your comfort zone and focus on trying to promote critical thinking to the wider world!”
