Banter Heavy but Well Worth A Listen
Narcissistic, holier than thou, arrogant, insulting and childish… but Mike aside the podcast is generally entertaining if a little rambling and unfocused at times but even then, the flow is saved by the intractable Liverpool sense of humour that permeates the entire podcast. However, when they do find a worthy woo subject, they will always investigate it thoroughly and report on it in a factual science-based manor. Marsh and Alice are a credit to the Merseyside Skeptics Society and to be fair, as long as you don’t call him ‘son’, even Mike is able to contribute in his own little arrogant immature way. Interestingly, even though the endearment ‘son’ is used extensively all over the Merseyside region, Mike reacts to it by replying with immediate expletives such as ‘tosspot’ while inviting you to evacuate the area in short jerky movements, which I must admit to finding very puzzling??? SWAK is generally worth a listen but it would help if there was a little more ‘skeptical’ content and a smidgen less hearty banter. Currently I feel that the proportions of each are the wrong way around.

Other sceptical podcasts seemed too stuffy or americanized (for British tastes.) I was really...Read full review »

This is a well informed, whitty, fortnightly podcast that sheds light on stupidity within this country.
