Gabfests
Personally I love the gabfests thought it is weird to think that I "know" the participants in the gabfests, their personalities, likes and dislikes and they don't know me from a fly on the wall. However, I find that the conversations are much like the conversations I have with my wittiest and most up to date friends (with one notable exception in the culture gabfest where Stephen Metcalf [hope I spelled his name right] seems like every pompous grad student I ever knew). I just unsubscribed because all I get anymore is long talk shows, at least half of which I have no interest in. I will keep listening to the political gabfest, but where is the podcast for just Andy Bowers reading articles - that is what I would like to subscribe to. This used to be my favorite podcast but the preponderance of Gabfest material is making me unsubscribe. I know some might like that content but can't you make a separate podcast stream for them? I miss the Andy Bowers reading Slate stories content. That earned my 5 star rating!Read full review »
