Smart, informative and witty
I started listening to the Slate podcasts over the Christmas holiday 
season and wanted to drop you a line to say "thanks" for the smart, 
witty and informative mini programs. As a listener to CBC radio for 
many years, I've always yearned to hear NPR, our American cousins, in 
some place that doesn't involve me being parked in front of my 
desktop or laptop computers . Sadly, I believe the closest it comes 
to Toronto's airwaves is a Buffalo AM college radio station. With the 
advent of internet radio and podcasts, I now look forward to updating 
my iTunes feeds, downloading them to iPod and settling in for a 
couple of hours of great listening. Slate is a great news site and source of great writing;
the podcasts enhance the site's personality with a friendly voice.Read full review »

I preferred the format when it included few gabfests. Read me an article that takes five minutes, and I'm happy. I don't have time to listen to a forty minute conversation every day of the week, and I no longer subscribe.Read full review »
