“I almost stopped listening because of the Xander bashing, the hosts are very anti-Xander, and I understand some of the issues. Xander is problematic in a lot of ways, but he's also interesting and funny, and most of all he's real, and gets a lot better starting season 4. So the constant bashing got very tiring, and unfair. Plus they only seem to have guests who hate Xander as well, and I know for a fact that is not representative of the fandom.
But I'm glad I didn't stop because Ian and Matthew are funny and interesting hosts, just like a lot of their guests. I love seeing the show from that queer perspective, and I like that it feels like a fresh look on a classic show, and it is unlike any other Buffy podcast. The pace of it is also very good, I'm almost never bored. Keep it up, but please go easy on Xander.”Read full review »
