Eager to see how they evolve
This is a decent show with a lot of potential. The hosts got into podcasting because of a genuine interest and they're up front about the fact that there's room for improvement. Four shows in and the sound quality is noticeably better. Their interviewing skills are a bit rough around the edges but that, too, will improve with time. What really resonated with me was their statement in the first show that the podcast "will be interesting and you CAN trust the information." "Great!" I thought, "A BS filter!" Their first show lived up to that commmitment. The second and third, eh, somewhat. The fourth show on primal therapy is when I got worried. A quick search tells me that primal therapy has been excoriated by the field and pretty much discredited. Yes, "appeal to authority" and all that but the extant criticism is enough to convince me not to take primaly therapy seriously. Based on shows two and four, it seems that the guests will reflect more the hosts' own interests and beliefs rather than what has been confirmed through research and evidence. I'll keep listening, but with some skepticism that I "CAN trust the information."Read full review »
