Podcast host asking questions that are not follows conversation line. It seems to me that questions prepared before the dialog and in spite of conversation questions asked most of the time have no relation to the conversation flow.

I really enjoy the podcast especially the variety of topics discussed. What I would really love to see in the future is improved audio quality since some episodes are really terrible to listen to so that at least I can’t understand the discussion in a good way.

I’ve been listening to software engineering radio for many years, and it continues to improve me and the ability of the teams that I work with to deliver valuable software.

Content is a mixed bag, but even when an episode is good, the audio production quality is poor. Makes it hard to listen to at higher speeds and requires close listening that most podcasts don’t.

What I really like about this podcast is that every episode starts from the basics of the episode’s topic before going into the details. This approach makes every episode very accessible, even for listeners who don’t have much background in the episode’s topic.

Most software engineers I know have deep pockets of expertise, but not in every area. This podcast does a great job of providing a broad range of topics at an understandable level.

It seems like a lot of the glowing reviews were from years ago. The episodes I have listened to so far have been uninteresting. Often the interviewer seems uninterested and asks extremely basic questions. The guest is clearly selling their product or service and it’s a shame.

These podcasts are a wonderful, intelligent, insightful, resource for anyone who takes programming/soft.development seriously. New to the craft or veteran senior architect, there is wisdom for all here. Thank you very much, SE-Radio!

I have really enjoyed some of the episodes, such as the CAP theorem from a few years ago, but most of the episodes are not useful for an experienced engineer because they stay at the introductory level for the topic. The interviewers often have zero experience with the topic, so their questions...Read full review »

Best podcast show I've heard, and I've sampled many! No gimmicks, no ads, no unnecessary banter, just a deep dive into whatever topic is being dissected. I'm working my way through the full catalog of episodes, and I can say that my commutes have gotten a lot more informative,...Read full review »

Too many “technical” podcasts shy away from the nitty gritty details. I’d say Robert Blumen is the best technical podcast host around.
