“I’ve been a LTL and have saved every episode of the BBC podcasts as I often go back to them for reference. I’ve also been a fan of Simon going back to his days presenting the BBC Radio 1 Breakfast Show, in fact Simon’s thoughts on music (Joshua Tree the best album of all time, how upset he was when he played the PSB’s cover of Where The Streets Hand No Name etc) have also been a contestant for me through my formative years to the Middle Ages grump I’ve now become. Therefore it’s with a heavy heart that this new podcast is simply not up to the standards I’ve come to know and love. The forced joke section is just wierd, the way the two of them act out the adverts jars, but the part that annoys most is the editing(!) time and time again the podcast repeats itself, or skips entire sections. In the latest episode with Christian Bale, just as Mark is commenting about the great interview, we leap midway into the revue for the Paris movie. Where on earth is the quality control? I listen to a lot of podcasts, and have never experienced such poor quality. Please, get your act together.”
