“I have listened to Kermode and Mayo for more than a decade, probably closing in on two decades, but I have to express my disappointment about finding out you only ship your merch to the USA and Australia.
Even 1 person “teams” of YouTubers from all over the world manage to ship internationally, including to the EU, of course. It’s 2023.
Only the british would prioritize US and Australia, one across an ocean, the other in a different ocean and hemisphere all together, instead of shipping to the EU, the giant close neighbor. And then describe it as “I feel so international”.
It just goes to show that even non brexit voting english people are still little englanders suffering from the same affliction, you people really need to learn your place in the world: a little island of the coast of the EU. There’s more English speakers in the EU than there are in the UK and Australia combined, and the European single market is second only to the US in size.
After this I will not ever be buying anything from you, even when you eventually fix the situation, you have shown your little englander true colors. I also have just unsubscribed from the premium version of your podcast and I am looking at other movie podcasts.
Not that your actions should have come a surprise in any way, you people have always talked and joked about Europeans in your podcast. Talking about us as some quaint far away foreigners, while simultaneously feeling superior to brexit voting people because you throw away some condescending complement at the same time. But the underlying malaise is the same and present on all little englanders, only sometimes disguised by the insincere self deprecation. Even your “colonial commoner” regular joke just goes to show how much you as a people and country need to be put your place.
Have fun hitting rock bottom as a people, country and culture, I hear it’s easy to be on an upward trajectory from there.
