I enjoy that our host doesn’t talk incessantly over the sounds of nature. Lovely wind down in the evening

When stress hits in the middle of the night this is my go-to solution. Particularly season 3. What would I do without this?!

This is my platonic ideal of a podcast to listen to in bed at the end of the day. It is such a soothing way to ease in to sleep, with the added bonus of training your ear for bird calls. Songbirding is a treasure.

Peaceful nature walks with knowledgeable, non-intrusive commentary. A perfect way to develop the skills to bird by ear. The world needs more songbirding.

I’ve just listened to the first two seasons of this podcast and can hardly wait to listen to the rest of the episodes. I’ve been a casual birder for many years and I think just listening to those two seasons has really improved my ability to bird by ear. Can’t wait to apply these new skills. Love...Read full review »

As someone who appreciates nature and birds and ALSO has difficulty falling asleep this podcast is ideal. Long time birders, but covid has clipped our wings. I feel I am out birding with a friend. As someone else pointed out, also great for insomnia. Some species not common in Georgia but most are. Hoghly recommend.

I was delighted to find this podcast of Bird songs from my home region. Informative and gentle natured, I’ve shared it with my family who live in different parts of Canada, so they may enjoy hearing Rob visit birds from this neck of the woods too.

With all the self isolation that COVID-19 brought, I decided that I would invest in some bird feeders for my backyard in the city. Not knowing much about birds, I came upon this podcast. It has some great advice for those getting into birding. I also listen to this podcast while I’m driving and...Read full review »

I just finished listening to my first episode - the spring 2020 northern mockingbird. Although I am familiar with the mockingbird’s songs, I do struggle to id many birds by their song so I’m hopeful this will help me learn. However, what I wasn’t prepared for was the peace and tranquility I...Read full review »

Seriously thought this was a NatGeo podcast - wow Rob is fantastic - narration is great - knowledge out of this world and really as a neophyte I’m enjoying this in the background during commutes ... 10 minutes and this will clear your mind and make you a better person. Well done!

I'm a birder and follow several birding podcasts. I've always hoped someone would do a recording just like these, in the field with the birds with commentary. These are really well done, fun to listen to and I just hope Rob keeps them coming. Great stuff.Read full review »
