I’m also very late to the party with this podcast, but just let me say that I absolutely love it. I only started listening a couple of days ago, from episode 1, and I dig it the most! It’s jam packed full of genuine good advice, aspirations, fears and trail stories - all direct from the horses...Read full review »

This podcast was, at one time, the very best at doing what it did, namely at simply letting the hikers themselves tell their own stories. Season 1 was a revelation. I have been listening to ‘hiker casts’ for a while and have heard none better. Season 2, while disappointing in volume, still had...Read full review »

If you’re here wondering what happened to the show, or if Gizmo is alive, fear not. Today is Wednesday, Sept. 19, 2018. I was able to track “Hey Gorl” down, and she told me the following... Gizmo is alive. “Shes an awesome person who gave time to her personal life last year, she bought a house,...Read full review »

I’m loving listening to hikers’ struggles and triumphs. Hoping to do some chunks of these trails. I hope you revive this with some new stories.

I love this podcast. It has inspired me and many others to step outside and reconnect with nature, but I can’t keep lying to myself in thinking it’s coming back. Epic sadness.

One day I hope the trail, due to work that’s not something that can happen for a long time. But I really enjoyed the podcast and learning about hiking. Great podcast

Gizmo does a great job bringing real trail stories and life stories to the listener along the trails. The “correspondents” do an admirable job interviewing other hikers they encounter so the overall experience is much broader than just a few voices. I know when i’m hiking it’s hard to focus on...Read full review »

I have an incredible amount of respect for this podcast. Your team has done a fantastic job of providing genuine, raw, and unfiltered commentary of what it's actually like to be on the AT, PCT, and CDT -- detailing the many challenges, successes, and thoughts that your interviewees experience...Read full review »

Really well developed podcast with great on-the-trail interviews. The combination of off-trail planning an on-trail sounds/feeling has you be taken away to another place and time every episode.

I stumbled upon this podcast a couple of weeks ago and have been hooked. I am so intrigued by the voices of those on the trail. It is light hearted, yet the content is so inspiring. Would definitely recommend!

I think I’m a bit late to the party! I started listening to your podcast yesterday, at episode 1 and I loved it. This morning I listened whilst out on a run and hearing about the tales of aches and pains, trail life and hopes/fears for the trails ahead was the perfect accompaniment. I look...Read full review »

I started listening to this podcast a couple years ago and fell in love. Before it, i never knew anyone who shared my feelings about nature and being outdoors. I’ve had the desire to do something “crazy” like the PCT since I was a kid but I wasn’t able to express them. I never went camping or...Read full review »

As a newbie hiker, and no where near the level of these awesome PCT/AT Thru hikers... I love hearing the stories, and the life of a hiker. I’ve started with episode one and chipping away at each one. Love it!

Enjoyable podcast, especially enjoy listening to it in my long-winter off season. Only gave it 4 stars because the audio-quality is sometimes lacking and can be difficult to hear and/or get really loud. Great content though and I always look forward to next expisodes.

I regret I didn't hike the PCT when I was younger. I'm a few years from retirement and can't take a lot of time from work. I admire all the correspondents and the host. Love the snippets & insights. It makes me feel like I'm there.

Enjoyable podcast and good to hear from different hikers on the trail. It's nice to feel like you're out with them. However, I noticed that a lot of the time is spent complaining and whining about the experience. Bunch of downers and that kinda takes the fun out of it. Also the 'trail names'...Read full review »

Great job! I am not a thru-hiker, and only am interested in doing short day hikes, plus maybe a weekend backpack trip. But this is truly one of the most interesting and well-produced podcasts I've heard. I've listened to all episodes from the beginning two years ago in just the last couple months.

I loved this podcast. Unfortunately pretty much since the beginning of season two it has been struggling. Season one had over 30 episodes. Season 2 had about 12. Season 3 has had 1 or 2.
