“Often, scientific papers are too abstruse to understand, and media coverage of science is too pithy to be accurate. SpacePod fills a very important middle-ground. It covers ongoing, cutting-edge scientific research in a way that is neither dilute nor incomprehensibly technical. It is fascinating to hear how we come to know the things we know about the universe, and all of the unexpected difficulties that arise when making extremely distant or precise measurements. As an astrophysicist, Carrie is a very knowledgable interviewer, but is also good at asking clarifying questions for nontechnical listeners. I also enjoy hearing Carrie's beverage reviews and fun-facts about the guests, as these humanize the research. SpacePod is really one of my favorite podcasts and everybody should listen!”Read full review »
