In a word--Stunning.
This podcast is simply beautiful. I enjoyed how she pulls from all different areas of the arts to create a unified and very edifying message. I see this podcast as having a wide appeal not just amongst Christians (she is unapologetically Christian) but with anyone who tends to think deeply and creatively about things and enjoys seeing connections between seemingly unrelated ideas and realities. Her personality is winsome and light but with a deep philosophical edge. Not so unlike the Anne of Green Gables that she jokingly references, she's refreshing, crisp and likable. I tend to struggle with depression in the winter months and I even felt that lifting quite a lot the more I listened. Ok, by this point everyone reading this probably thinks I'm either a relative or a paid reviewer (if there is such a thing) nope--just a very pleasantly surprised listener referred over through the Sally and Friends Podcast (Sally Clarkson is her mother). I look forward to any future episodes!Read full review »

Joy’s accumulated wisdom and thoughtful review of literature and fine art belie her age. I enjoy listening to her while painting.
