“This is BY FAR the best Spider-Man based podcast I have found on the internet to date. This is not for the faint of heart. This is not for the sissy spider-fans that eat up everything Marvel puts out. Come here if you want honest feedback, based on history and a deep knowledge of the character. The host, along with the panel, know the ins and outs of the true Peter Parker. They know how he should be written and they take a direct approach to assessing the pros and cons of the new material. I have been listening for +200 episodes, and I agree with much of what the cast says. They love the character and want to see him succeed and be read by a wider audience, but not at the cost of crappy, off-base writing. The panel offers constructed, detailed criticism to every aspect of the books, and while some see their neutral/negative reviews as misguided, I see it simply as the speaking the truth. Just because the books sell decently doesn't mean they couldn't be written better for the character. I prefer an intelligent, witty, Peter Parker, and for the last few years he hasn't existed. So, I will keep listening as long as they keep posting. If you are on the fence about listening, give it a few weeks. You will find that even if you don't agree with what they say, their knowledge is undeniable and their perspective WILL make you look at the media in a new light.
