“I started at the beginning & was so impressed with Karen’s topic choices & depth of research. There were some rough edges but I figured if I hung in there she’d sand ‘em out. Not so. I think Karen is just too sensitive for the subject matter. She brought her buddy in to lighten things up & the whole podcast went off the rails. Only 1 of every 3 episodes is a serious story. Most of the episodes are 2 grown women giggling & messing around. I mean, I’m all for levity & banter but these guys... the voices & accents & singing... it’s bad. So bad.
I wish Karen would’ve stuck with the medical drama genre but if she wants to switch to a comedy format she should emulate something like the Bananas podcast or Is We Dumb.
What she’s doing now doesn’t work from any angle.”
