I was listening to The Minds of Madness and he mentioned this podcast and I figured I give it a shot but I’m glad I listened to it because it can be some funny stories and some serious and some that are sad but overall amazing!!

I just finished the 3 part miniseries about child experiments. I have seen a lot and heard a lot throughout my experiences as an ICU nurse. Intermediate EMT, Sheriff’s Office dispatcher, coroner and Search and Rescue so I have a very strong stomach. These episodes deeply affected me. I had to...Read full review »

I started listening a couple of months ago and have been enjoying the content of this podcast until the new intro rap music. There is something about rap music that makes me angry so I will no longer be listening. Even the few seconds that it takes for my to fast forward is to much for me. Sorry...Read full review »

I started listening to this podcast a little over two years ago, and I have yet to be disappointed. I started at the beginning, then skipped around a little bit, and now I look forward and listen to every new episode. I especially look forward to episodes with Mary! The podcaster does not have an open mind and comes across to me as incredibly biased. Science has two sides, is growing, evolving and needs questioning, and she is only willing to talk about the side she supports, it appears to me she hasn’t questioned or looked deeper and has simply believed...Read full review »

I love all the stories they tell on this podcast. While telling a story she is so into it you can’t help but feel every emotion while listening . She also speaks so intelligently and does major research into the subject. I love her devotion and enthusiasm to tell us these stories. And as a nurse...Read full review »

I started at the beginning & was so impressed with Karen’s topic choices & depth of research. There were some rough edges but I figured if I hung in there she’d sand ‘em out. Not so. I think Karen is just too sensitive for the subject matter. She brought her buddy in to lighten things up...Read full review »

Medical true crime? Yes, please! I binged all the episodes until Erica came onto the scene. She seems like a lovely person but the podcast fell apart. Karen lost focus & the majority of episodes are now ridiculous, goofy & unprofessional. No one wants to listen to girls at an 8th grade...Read full review »

Some truly crazy stories that offer insight to how some people’s twisted minds function. I will put on an episode as a study break & and up getting pulled into the 3 part series to get the full story.

Might not be to everyone’s taste due to the idiosyncratic delivery and subject matter, but I appreciate the passionate, opinionated style and insider knowledge. Great choice of material.

I started the series on Howard Dully and the narrator sounds like a high schooler presenting a speech to their class. That wouldn’t be a deal breaker if it weren’t for how judgmental they all. Many conjectures, use of medical language in a non-medical context (flippantly calling someone a...Read full review »

Liked some of the previous factual stories but sad that they have been politicised. Karen’s is a derogatory term for women so they should be ashamed of themselves - a lot of the ‘Karen’ media are ladies with mental health issues. It’s not funny.
