Eh
This podcast had a lot of potential but delved far to deep into repetitive whining about the past and only barely explored the horror aspect
Podcast Peruser via Apple Podcasts · Canada · 02/03/24
If you were looking for something exciting and horrifying just move on. The podcast was boring with a lead character that makes every stupid decision possible while moaning about his past. Nothing exciting happens in the present and the flashbacks just reinforce his inability to make smart...Read full review »

Powerful story that weaves suspenseful horror adventure and deeply moving depiction of a person struggling with severe mental health and extreme isolation. Will appeal to any fans of horror and sci-fi dramas like The White Vault, Steal the Stars and The Waystation. Really hoping for a season 2!

It doesn’t take long for Station Blue to descend into a 127 Hours-esque fight for survival - but the unique storytelling format and explorations of mental health make this show more than your typical “lost in the wilderness” tale. Absolutely worth a listen.

Really liking it so far. Season 2?

I have truly enjoyed this story - completely drawn in by the character and his story. HOWEVER, I am forever having to adjust the volume. It will start off hurting my ears, so I turn volume down, then, of course, it drops to a whisper, so volume up, then someone screams… The Q

Fantastic rising tension from an unreliable narrator. Once I started I was hooked, spent the rest of the day binge listening while cleaning the house. The tricks of the mind in isolation, a look into the inner soul, leaves you wanting more.
Twisted Narrative via Apple Podcasts · Great Britain · 03/08/21
It might sound weird to describe a podcast about survival and isolation as a comfort podcast, but having struggled with my own mental health it felt really relieving/cathartic to listen to ❤️Great story and great acting~ can’t wait for the next season!

I was enjoying it up to episode 9 and then just got lost. Listened to the last few episodes several times (admittedly whilst working so not 100% concentrating) but still no clearer as to what is happening. So there is a scary bluebird? When did that appear (why didn’t you tell us)? Or has he just...Read full review »

Station Blue is just striking. The storytelling and acting are so raw. I felt so much and couldn't look away. I didn't want to look away, even as the story tore at my heart. It's so well done.Read full review »

It’s interesting to see the wide difference in the reviews of people who loved it and those who really disliked it. I was frustrated that I didn’t understand the main character (despite some awkward backstory about a demanding dad and the often mentioned ex) and he made incomprehensible choices....Read full review »

it started interesting enough? but good god i’m so lost i have absolutely no idea what this show wants from me? and where’s the horror? honestly if i wanted another hot ableist take of curators using mental illness to scare me i would have turned to any hollywood horror from the last 30 years!...Read full review »

Poor delivery. I just couldn’t get into this. The character is REALLY annoying. I’m not sure if it’s the writing, the acting, or a combo of the two. The story also moves along REALLY slowly. I held on for as long as I could but have to throw in the towel.

Absolutely brilliant. I had chills; I had tears in my eyes. Remarkable narration, full of emotion and really spins a story. Great stuff! Looking forward to season 2!

…to go through life feeling like you were born irreparably broken. I wish this podcast existed when I was in college.

So bad, it distracts from the story so much you can’t concentrate on anything else.

I feel like I was promised horror and ended up with a VERY QUIET monologue about a guy who has made every bad decision he could have. I feel like it would have been more interesting (to me, atleast) if he had spent more time in the present instead of bemoaning the past. It's hard to listen to...Read full review »

So, I want to start off with the bad. The sound editing needs work. I literally have the volume all the way up, and can barely hear the character’s dialogue. With a show that is mostly one character talking, that’s a big thing to fix. Also, some of the setting/action is hard to conceptualize...Read full review »

It sounds so canned and fake. The acting is painfully plodding, sounds like others are reading in a middle school class.

I made it to episode 4 and had to quit. The lead character’s rambling, self loathing, pathetic attitude about his whole situation was annoying. I love podcast stories, but this was terrible. His emails to the mysterious Gina. Complaining about a cut that won’t heal. Something about a random...Read full review »

I love this podcast so much! The first time I finished listening to it I immediately restarted it from the beginning. Leads is a moron. His best job would be a greeter at Walmart. Wanted to slap him from episode one on....couldn’t make it through episode five before deleting the series. Very disappointing.

The little of the actual show you get to hear sounds ok, but easily 2/3 of the show are really jarring commercials. They cut off characters mid word. I guess I could almost understand if they were some kind of in-universe gimmick, but that is the case. Really disappointed.

It's been compared to The Thing and other isolation horror stories - but I can't think of any tale in the genre that also takes you this deep inside the mind and heart of the protagonist, makes you care so deeply about his making it through. I'm so scared of what's going to happen...Read full review »

Look when a show has trigger warnings and tells you not to drive and then you ignore that. Oh boy yeah not the smartest thing I have ever done. Not horrible. Not amazing. It starts pretty strong but it crumbles in upon itself towards the end. Voice acting is awkward in places and volume fluctuates a lot making headphones annoying. Atmospheric sound effects is one of the better things about this podcast however.

So this is one of my absolute favorite podcasts right here. The fact that it very openly and respectfully deals with mental illness means a lot to me. This podcast is so creepy. And it jumps right into the action pretty quickly. Things start to go downhill almost from the start once he gets to the bunker alone. Very scary and I love it.

I think they are trying to purposely adjust the volume to add to the listening but the random loud noice they make every 30 seconds is enough to stop listening all together. The actual speaking goes from a whisper to screaming making it near impossible to hear.
