Made it through about 5 episodes. Got tired of the language. Quit.

I loved the show but I hated the ending like I hate taxes.

This is a mature, funny and thrilling story with great characters and stakes to die for. Opens your mind in more than one way, and main character Dakota Prentiss (Ashlie Atkinson) just nails it for everyone who loves a rough voice and tough character. Easy to get into, tough to let go!

This is my single favorite dramatic podcast, ever. I still have it in my feed in the futile hopes that they decide to do one more episode (they actually did a live one, episode 0, so my hope was not misplaced!).

Story was good the ending seemed rushed

This was a ride, with engaging characters and voice acting, of just the optimal length. Thank you for all the work that went into creating this series!! It really shows. Special thanks for the theme-sound, it’s energizing and somehow mysterious at the same time, doesn’t make you want to skip...Read full review »

Story -4 stars Production value-2 stars Acting-3 stars. I thought Dak was miscast Music- 2 stars Feels like a student making a good first attempt at a podcast. There’s much better Si-Fi podcasts out there.

Loved the casting, the story, the build up. Everything! Until the end. The ending made no sense and left me wanting. It’s a shame, there was so much potential, but in the end I was left disappointed.

The ending is awful, but the journey was worth it.

Thought the story was interesting but didn’t love the ending. I thought Dak was an awesome lead voice; I like hearing a lower female voice like miners the main character! The character development was interesting but not super consistent. Gotta take Dak for who she is! But then there are moments...Read full review »

The storyline is good, except for the romance. I just don’t care about who’s sleeping with who. Feels like a soap opera. Also, the mouth noises of kissing makes me uncomfortable like listening to people chew.

This was a really interesting drama podcast

I enjoyed the voice acting - nice to have a different sounding lead person/character for a change, and she’s a talented voice actor. Sure, the character’s insecurities weren’t appealing - she’s a lead, chemistry happens, *own* it, for goodness sake. But the real problem is the story, itself....Read full review »

Wow
This was spectacular from the beginning. SciFi at its best by my favorite podcast author. Fasten your seatbelts for the ending of this amazing production

Edit: Read the other reviews, wanted to just say emphasize Ashlie Atkinson NAILED it as the lead. I 100% believed how she played Dakota. It just made all the contrived BS the plot demands of her to be so much more Out of character. Patti deserved better. Lloyd deserved better. DAK deserved...Read full review »

This is an excellently written and produced podcast. It’s my favorite fiction podcast of all time. It’s engrossing and I totally beloved the romance between Dak and Matt.

I love SF, and I really love radio drama, so I'm thrilled about the current flowering of audio-dramas-as-podcasts. This seemed like a sure bet, but...To begin with: terrible casting. I'm sure Ashlie Atkinson is a great actress and I know she's won awards, but...she was the WRONG...Read full review »

Such a good, interesting story until the end. Seriously just slapped together the weirdest stuff. Could have been better.

Story was dumb Characters lame But, by far, the most horrible aspect was the narrator / story teller. I couldn’t tell if it was a man, or woman, or a chain-smoking tranny. It / she was like listening to a cancer patient trying to cough up flem.

I love this podcast. Great story, amazing actors. Every bit as good as Homecoming for quality in story or character actors. Thank you!

I binge listened to all of the episodes on a car ride. The acting was well done and the storyline was very immersive. I knew that it was going to be kind of weird based on the genre and other reviews I’d read, but the last episode was a little too weird for me. It seemed out of character as well,...Read full review »

It started off interesting and had promise. But towards the middle it got kinda weird. Though all the voice actors did great I did not think the two main characters, also love interests, had chemistry. I was hoping primarily for a Sci-Fi adventure with a side of romance, but instead got a...Read full review »

Was this sci-fi or romance? I think neither. I didn't like the female lead's voice - she sounded like a 60yo smoker. Paired with the male lead, who sounded young and attractive, the romance between them (that happened about 4 minutes after they first meet) is unbelievable. The sci-fi...Read full review »

Meandering story, odd romantic development right out of the gate and what was that ending? It was like a cheap knockoff of star craft but instead of scary aliens it’s just some moss monster.

I really liked the story but the laugh track got to my nerves having random people cackle in my ear was weird and honestly I’d rather just decide what’s funny my self then have suggested times to laugh

I loved this podcast. I was transported and binged most of it on several long drives. Several reviewers complained about the female lead’s voice, but that was one of the many things I loved. Her voice sounded like a real person and not the overly manicured overdone “acting” voices in many...Read full review »

1. so was this a harlequin romance? a thriller? a monster movie? did the bad guys win? who WERE the bad guys? 2. the lead actresses was trying to hard too sound tough, like she thought a male drill sergeant would sound. female characters shouldn’t have to try to sound masculine, if they are in a...Read full review »

I tore through all 14 episodes and listened to the finale twice to wrap my head around the madness. The writing is tight and compelling, the cast is incredible, top to bottom, and the sound design is so great you really lose yourself in the world.

It was a 25 minute ad for a book. If you want to hear the ending, you have to go buy the book? Nice try.

I loved Life.After... but this is something else all together. Bad casting in the main female character ... she sounded super masculine and as if she has been smoking a pack of cigarettes and in her late 50s. Couple this with the voice of the male protagonist which is young and appealing, it just...Read full review »

Listened through the end, simply because I found the story interesting, but could not get passed the ugliness of the female lead’s voice. It just doesn’t work.
Marina Runner via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/12/19
Voice acting for the main character is not good, the story right off the bat is so strange. She is this super amazing woman but yet just sees this new guy and they start going at it? Kinda graphic noises too that accompany them going at it whenever they can apparently.
Chocolatecatsdancin via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/09/19
Had a few good moments but was a huge let down. Everytime the story gets going it comes to a hault with a hard to believe high school romance. It also seemed like they didnt know how to end it. The last two episodes are about the worst story telling I have ever heard.
BlownCyclist via Apple Podcasts · United States of America · 01/07/19
I liked that the ending capitalized on problems that exist early on in the main character. It didn’t feel totally beyond what you could expect from that character though it was still shocking. Great suspense!

Near perfect sci-fi where the writing, acting and sound design all work together towards telling a great, intriguing, funny and dramatic story. This is pulp fiction transcending its form and becoming high art.
