Not only does Rileigh get to share one of her favorite twenty-something teenage girl artists with her siblings this week, but she gets to teach them ALL about the absolute biggest deal in American high school theatre: the JIMMY'S.

We had planned on talking about Jimmy and his music in our next episode, but with the news of his passing, we found it difficult to talk about much else this week than the man whose music has brought our family together for decades. We got a little emotional this week, but join us as we take a trip through not only our favorite Jimmy songs, but our favorite Jimmy memories from a life full of them.

We're big fans of Miyazaki films around here, and while we may be slightly partial to Howl's Moving Castle (and for some of us, the tasty tasty looking food in that movie) this one is right up there too.

It's not every week we get to take a journey through an amorphous idea of media on this show, but this time we're taking a deep dive into the world of Mario Mario, including all its lil quirks that maybe don't make that much sense but don't just think about them too hard because it's MARIO.

This week, we learn that the Smirl siblings have no idea what/where/who New England is, but they're convinced it's Appalachian, even though they literally just figured out that it's not. But we'll still talk about Noah Kahan's album like it's about Appalachia.

Continuing our decision to not discuss any media that is subject to the ongoing strikes, we've been talking about a lot of music recently, and now it's Teylor's turn!

It seems counter-intuitive that we're talking about Fight Club, since, well of course the first rule of Fight Club and all and...well...maybe we shouldn't? Is this breaking the rules?

It's that wonderful time of year once again where Rileigh gets to force her siblings to sit down and talk about Taylor Swift with her for a whole 45 minutes. From teen angst to both her saddest and most scathing songs, Speak Now really has it all, and now we get to listen to Taylor's Version!

Sometimes, one of us loves a character or an artist or a body of work so much we can't even narrow down our favorite pieces, we just have to talk about absolutely all of it, so that's why this week Teylor has us talking ALL about ALL things Harley Quinn.

Well, it's all Sydnee can talk about these days, and it's a cartoon/movie/musical/entire universe that has spanned all the generations on this podcast, so let's dive in to Spongebob!

To celebrate the upcoming live action Barbie movie that is sure to break the internet and make an appearance on this podcast, we're taking a look back at the Barbie movie musical that started it all, which is also Rileigh's personal favorite. It also just happens to feature one of the most unironically funny moments in film history and some straight up BOPS on the soundtrack.

If there's one thing in life that's certain, it's that you can always count on a new Scream movie being released at any given time, and it's always going to feel just as familiar and meta as the one before. This time in Scream/Stab world, it's a franchise, so no rules!

Syd always has some questionable pics for her summer playlist, but Tey is helping her out this week by providing us with some great 90s/2000s hits from Letters to Cleo that actually ARE suitable for a summer playlist.

Did you ever appear on the 90s dating show, Singled Out? Did you actually fall in love? Were those dates even real? We need to know everything, because this show leaves SO many questions to be answered for the modern viewer.

We thought it was the Millennial/Gen Z equivalent of Friends, but the more we think about it this show is WAY better. It's the show that brought us bird shirts and True American, it's New Girl!

It's a classic tragic-comedy (which we didn't know was a thing until just now) that we all know and love, especially since it reminds us so much of a little McElroy we all love. The siblings think they've finally cracked the reason why Sydnee always had such a love for Full House...and it's because her secret life goal is to recreate it with her entire family. Also why did Danny Tanner hate Kimmy Gibler SO much??

HAPPY MAXFUN DRIVE! It seems as if a trading of the youngest member of the podcast has taken place this week, as Rileigh has been replaced with Charlie! Who, let's be honest, is basically just Rileigh if she were still 8. An all punk cover band that does covers of musical theatre songs?? How have we never talked about this before?? It's quite literally all of our most important musical interests combined into one cohesive art form.

It's truly astonishing that it's taken us 3 years of talking about media that made us to finally have Sydnee bring up That Thing You Do, but here we are at last. It's basically the Tom Hanks of films, if Tom Hanks himself starred in a Tom Hanks directed movie that was a film embodiment of Tom Hanks. If that makes sense.

Rilo's brought us some more hip new Gen Z tunes but the only thing we seem to be able to talk about is how the heck do we say McAlpine and have we all been saying McElroy wrong this whole time???
