Ya ya the panda in the Memphis zoo was sick, not just old. Her fans around the world, including American fans, in social media called for her return to China for her sake. I never heard anyone comparing her to a ‘much younger panda in Russia’, but to older panda like An an in Hong Kong which died in 2022 at the age of 35, much older than Ya ya. An an was very old and happy to the end. Ya ya was old and visibly sick. 2023-12-28.”
