“This podcast would be excellent were it not for the endless mispronunciation of common English words!
On the Andes plane crash episode: I do wish the main journalist telling the story knew how to pronounce ‘fuselage’, it’s incredibly irritating as she says it incorrectly throughout!
Similarly, Marylebone is pronounced MAH-lebone not Marrilibone; I realise that that may be difficult for non-Londoners to get their heads round but it’s hardly complicated.
Finally, the word “something” does NOT end in a “k”!
Errors like these are extremely jarring to listen to, especially on words that are repeated throughout an episode and they create a general atmosphere of not being quite as professional or knowledgeable as you should be.”
