Story Grid- The key to my unblocking
I got to page 100 of my novel and just stopped. I’ve been blocked for about a year or so and I didn’t fully understand why until now. I’ve read about nine books on how to write a novel and have read countless other blogs and tip websites. While some of the information I've gleaned has been valuable, I really wish I had discovered this method earlier. Shawn is spot on with his analyses and recommendations, and it all just makes so much sense. In fact, many of his tips have sparked a chain reaction of ideas in me and I’m now more hopeful I can revive these long deceased pages of mine. Let’s face it, writing is really not rationally self-interesting at all. It’s arduous, maddening, humiliating, thankless, and downright ludicrous. However, when I play The Story Grid podcast, I am reminded over and over again why I am drawn to this craft and that is STORY. Thank you Shawn for just being smart and being right. I know all editors aren’t this good. You are really on to something with The Story Grid, and everyone should really check it out. Thank you Tim for having the courage to broadcast your writing journey! It’s so extremely helpful and I wish you luck as you find your way in this world.Read full review »

Some other podcasts are 30-40 and half of it is witty banter between the hosts... These guys get right down to the point. If you want to...Read full review »
