Helpful for Non-Fiction
Tim Grahl and Shawn Coyne have a great rapport on this engaging podcast. One of their goals is to get aspiring writers to understand and implement the structures and conventions we have come to expect from stories in a way that doesn't seem trite or formulaic. I'm writing a non-fiction book about hormones for menopause (Did you just yawn?) and I am excited to put some of Shawn's insights to work so my book won't bore my readers. Shawn's book The Story Grid is also an invaluable resource. I find myself listening to The Story Grid podcast episodes more than once for 2 reasons: 1. There's so much great stuff in them and 2. It's easier than actually writing. Love this podcast. Tim - you need to do a Book Marketing Poscast!Read full review »
