I want to thank you for this podcast. It was brilliant and helpful. I’m a settler, but I teach an “Indigenous Voices” grade 11 course and I try to read widely and deeply on my own and to incorporate authentic voices into my work every day. Thank you for elevating these voices, stories and experiences. I’m of European decent and want to create space to learn and hear indigenous voices unlike my ancestors. I will be adding to my reading list each of the pieces of literature you discuss. Many thanks.

Louise Bernice Halfe is incredible. I read some of her work for my students in Alaska and it resonated HARD. Thank you for sharing her work!

Such a significant book for Indigenous literature. I’m pleased to hear that you started with the iconic, super-brave and heroic of Maria Campbell back when she wrote the book, and with the release of her updated edition. Both a must get for any Indigenous library collection.
