Nothing new here
My biggest issue is that I’ve heard almost all of these stories. I am into true crime but I only have 3 podcasts I regularly listen to so it’s not like I’m an aficionado. It just seems like If the goal of the podcast is mystery, they could dig a little deeper to find cases that are less common and haven’t already been covered a ton of times on a ton of other podcasts. I wouldnt be bothered by one or two, but it’s been every episode so far I’ve heard the story on another podcast. If it had the humor you get from OWD or TCO it would be worth it, but it doesn’t. Her sense of humor is fine, but the delivery...she needs another person to bounce her jokes off of. They only “don’t land” because it’s just silence after jokes and feels scripted and unnatural. I know you need a script to a point but this particular form of commentary seems like it needs banter to land. I disagree with most of the negative comments about her politics. Probably because I agree with her stances, but also comments on human rights just doesn’t feel like “politics” to me. She’s clearly super smart, and is a good writer. Its just uninteresting (for me) with the already been covered subject matter and the awkward silences after what comes off as forced inserted jokes. Sound quality is perfection, pace is good. I love the obsessed network! I hope these reviews are used for constructive feedback. (Well...not all of them... You know which ones I mean 😉)

They sound forced, rehearsed, and...Read full review »

Another star podcast added to the obsessed network. Daisy Eagan does an awesome job retelling these bizarre stories. I’m a fan.
