Tactless and Biased Reporting
Season 1 was good – notably due to the access to evidence and the official investigation footage and documents. Season 2, on the other hand, is a really, really painful listen. A terrible crime, with suspicious circumstances, told in a biased and sensationalist way that takes away from the case itself. The reporters use poor tactics to try and contact people of interest – and afterwards, use their lack of success in their harassing and stalker-like interview tactics as evidence of guilt from the parties involved. The theory presented and the investigation path they tried to take seemed like the right way to go, but their execution blew any chances they had of making any progress in this investigation or being taken seriously.

I love anything true crime but what I love about this podcast is the behind the scenes information they share. They break down DNA evidence and interrogation techniques. I also love how they try to remain unbiased and look at the case from all angles.
