Fun times at the revolution.
This podcast covers rebellion with humour, drama, and more than a few interesting twists and turns. "Rembrandt and the Revolting Batavians," for example does just what the title says and transitions from a first century rebellion against the Roman Empire to the story behind the creation and reception of a Rembrant painting. And it wraps it all up with Kenny Rogers. I like that this is revolution and rebellion not just in the sense of military uprisings but in the tracings of art, culture, and knowledge, and that it covers individuals at the peak of empires and at the level of the ordinary citizen (whatever that may be).
