Strong topic knowledge combined with a very poor presentation
There is no doubt that there was a lot of research conducted to become knowledgeable on the topic of presentation. Unfortunately the editor is not well spoken and doesn't come across as particularly intelligent. It makes the whole experience frustrating. As a specific example, in one cast she was defining the word Heretic. She defined it as having three critical components. First, the person had to hold beliefs contrary to the Church. Second, they needed to be expressing their beliefs publicly (for the purpose of prosthelytizing). And third, they had to have been approached by a member of the church, shown that their beliefs are in error, and to have denied their willingness to change their beliefs or stop presenting them publicly. She then went on to talk about how she supposed one could still be a heretic if they held their beliefs to themselves or only discussed them in the privacy of their own home. Then they might be called private heretics -- not to be confused with an actual heretic. Being as this cast was about the Spanish Inquisition, understanding what a heretic was is quite important. That type of logical error introduced through her musings and the extremely informal nature of the podcast rife with giggles and valley girl slang made it impossible for me to listen to more than a few. I definitely do not recommend this podcast. A more serious tone or different narrator would definitely help.Read full review »

I never write mean reviews. This podcast was disappointing. The 2 young ladies sound nice and friendly but it's not a very deep look into history.Read full review »
