“The host of this podcasting duo is Candace and though I'm sure she's very nice, well-educated, and well-intentioned, her voice is excruciating. Considering that this is an AUDIO podcast about history, a host with a thoroughly annoying valley girl accent is just unacceptable. Every word sounds like a question. Any word ending in the letter "s" sounds like a snake is pronouncing it. Candace might work if this were a podcast for "US Weekly" or "TMZ". My fiancée and I are big fans of the "Stuff you should know" podcast with Josh and Chuck (who are both AWESOME!) yet we wince every time we kick off an episode that includes Candace. Every sentence is so distracting that you just can't focus on what she's talking about.”Read full review »
