Feels like Home
So many wonderful thoughts running through my head right now, it's hard to know where to begin. Firstly, I want to say Thank You. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. Style & Substance is such a joy to listen to and cheers me up no end. Two years ago, maybe it was even 3 years now I was referred to start following Fiona on Instagram by one of her Elevate students; Jack Watkins. I can't tell you what that meant to me during 2020 to have Fiona's workshops and 3 books to enjoy. It was in March 2020 (the day before lockdown in Canada) when I had my 2nd baby. I had a 2 year old toddler, a newborn baby, I have ADHD, I'm a Brit living in Canada seperated from my family and I was at an extremely low point in my mental health. Taking those workshops were a breath of freshair. Ever since moving to Canada in 2008 (age 20) I've felt this sense of loss because I didnt finish my Art Degree and I've regretted it ever since.. I've spent the last 3 years absorbing as much information as I can about Brand design from Fiona, and I taught myself website design. This month I'm relieved and so proud to say that I'll finally be confident to launch my own website, and will be no longer taking client projects on from word-of-mouth alone. I am so thrilled that Fiona & Elizabeth are a team on Style & Substance. I feel the exact same happiness finding Elizabeth as I did when I discovered Fiona. Listening to Elizabeth mention her ADHD clients made me feel "seen", as life with ADHD can be a lonely struggle. Thankfully Valentine's is coming up and I droppped the hint about The Empowered Entrepreneur book to my husband. I can't wait to get stuck in to it! But for now I'll be listening to the 1st and 2nd season again of Style & Substance because I dont want to miss a single second of the value you both bring. Lastly, I can't tell you how nice it is to listen to two fellow british ladies talk. I just love your warmth, your intellect and your style. Listening to you feels like home. With love and gratitude, Laura KeeranRead full review »
