Single parent, starting over and fighting cancer
As a single parent, going through a divorce and relocating to a new country with my two young children, I found myself starting from scratch, both emotionally and financially. Canna's practical advice became a beacon of hope. The concept of the $1000 Project itself sparked my imagination and inspired me to take action. Through Canna's guidance, I not only managed to save $6000 to invest, but I also hustled my way to an additional $10,000 for a much-needed car. However, life threw me a curveball when I was diagnosed with breast cancer, forcing me to put my car and work plans on hold. Instead of feeling defeated, I used the money I had saved to support myself during treatments and surgery. The financial stability I gained through the $1000 Project allowed me to focus on my health without the added stress of financial burdens. It became a lifeline during my journey towards recovery. Now, as I emerge from my treatments and return to work, I find myself still hustling and applying all the valuable tips and tricks that Canna has shared. While I may not be saving hundreds of thousands like some success stories, I have managed to survive cancer as a single parent without borrowing a single cent. That, in itself, is an accomplishment I am incredibly proud of. Canna's down-to-earth approach and genuine care for her listeners shine through in each episode. Her practical strategies, combined with her personal anecdotes, make financial success accessible and relatable. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Canna and her podcast. Through her invaluable teachings, I have not only weathered the storm but am now on the cusp of purchasing a car entirely with cash. Canna's impact extends far beyond financial literacy, she is my go-to on my journey to financial independence.Read full review »
