Conflicted
This has been my go-to podcast for the past year or so, as I was following the Murdaugh murder trial very closely and STS truly does have best guests and excellent content/conversations. However, after the comments from Fil Waters, who I typically find to be brilliant, engaging, and dead-on with his take on most things, his comments regarding the transgender community are very ignorant. I had to turn the episode off because I’m a little blown away. I am not transgender, at this point in time I don’t know anyone who is transgender, but I am a mother, and these ignorant comments aren’t anything I want my kids exposed to. It is never wrong to teach acceptance. Teaching someone to accept the differences of others doesn’t “influence” that person to become like others. Kindness first, in my book, always. Haven’t decided if I’m going to keep listening, which makes me really sad, because otherwise I like and respect Joel and STS Nation.

More reviews of Surviving the Survivor
This is simply brilliant. The moderator Joel always has very experienced and knowledgeable guests on who know what they’re talking about with regards to true crime. A must listen.
