The process of collecting and restoring these symbols from the past is equal parts exciting and tiresome.  Victor Hugo Gomes talks about his lifelong journey of preserving the symbols of Goa’s multicultural history and establishing several museums for the same. What made him transform from a painter to a preserver? Why does he call his museums “Old Age Homes”? What financial difficulties do his museums face and what can Goans do about it? Tune in to find out.  Victor Hugo Gomes is an antiques preserver by profession. He has been fascinated by Goa’s tradition and culture since childhood. At Goa Chitra, he has founded 3 museums which comprise of Goan tools and instruments. These museums have over 4000 artefacts, and many of them are over 300 years old. These museums have had popular visitors like Robert De Niro.
