A good laugh
If you need a good laugh listen to this presenter attempting to justify the failure of his organisation, the BBC, to deny experts access to its brexit coverage. One of the examples to support this is given as the Bank of England’s failure to agree with Danny Blanchflower on interest rates. And therefore the BOE aren’t experts! Of course maybe the BOE know things that others don’t. If you believe that Day is Night; or Black is White then this podcast is a must.

More reviews of Sweet Reason
The BBC adopts the classic style of pitting one person against another which I find prevents any exploration of ideas. I also note that the experts interviewed tend to be journalists, who are not experts. Academics, lawyers, doctors, teachers and so on would be much more helpful.

Always thought provoking. Only wish it was a bit longer. 27 mins is not enough!

I like the format. One of the issues I have with debates, even Intelligence Squared, is that they only offer two sides. It is much better to try to find common ground and identify outstanding questions as that moves the discussion forward.
