“Outstanding, unique, and above all important as it’s the ONLY podcast that explores so-called white collar crime! Swindled is easily in the top three of “true crime” podcasts in terms of the quality of production, the precise and elegant writing, the engaging storytelling, soundscape, superb use of real audio clips including archival material, etc. The episodes feature superbly researched accounts of “white collar” crimes — though these quite frequently include the usual panoply of murder, kidnapping, etc. And the narrator is fantastic — “Concerned Citizen” is very wry and takes to task the appalling figures in these stories with a serious yet also (when appropriate) hilariously sarcastic tone. Swindled also covers stories that won’t be overly familiar or that you’ve ever heard of and there are NO episodes covering the same repetitive garbage that clutters the majority of true crime podcasts (no serial killers etc).”
