Taking Pop Seriously
"Switched on Pop" is the coolest podcast out there. As a classical musician, it's exciting for me to see pop music analyzed in a way that takes the art form seriously, and demystifies how a pop hit can sounds so simple despite being constructed from so many different, deliberate elements. If these two had taught a class at my university, I (and many of my friends) would have taken it. Charlie and Nate are fun, insightful, and thought-provoking in their approach to pop analysis.Read full review »
