Love the premise and the cast continually manages to produce compelling content and lovable characters. The potluck at the end of a one-shot is a great way to end that story and allowed me to skip an arc without it feeling incomplete. The cast call attention to problematic features of the...Read full review »

Everyone’s at least heard of Dungeons and Dragons, but while it might be the most popular and wide reaching table top role playing game, its by no means the end all be all of hobby. Tabletop Potluck is a great way to get a taste of the other games that are out there. There are so many different...Read full review »

TTPL is a wonderful, well paced romp with a good blend of humor and seriousness. I listen to it whenever I’m struggling and it brings me back. The players have great synergy and deliver everything you could possibly want from a real play table top podcast. I laughed, I cried, it’s better than Cats.

I heard about Tabletop Potluck from a friend and completely forgot about it for a while. I finally started listening to it this week and it is wonderful! The variety of games they’ve played and the potluck episodes have really helped me find ones I plan to play in the future. Plus, the cast does...Read full review »

Initially the sound was a bit sharp, when everyone laughed it was a touch peircing but persevere as it is definitely worth it! I have so far only listened to the Mouse guard game but I will be hitting all of the other games when I have time. With Excellent game play and characterisation I was...Read full review »

Diversity of cast? Check Diversity of Characters? Check Diversity of game systems? Check! Tabletop potluck does something that few other shows accomplish and they do it with a sense of style and flair that is hard to accomplish. A great resource to get a sense for a system you've never...Read full review »

The cast is comfortable with one another and diverse in their game play style so you can see multiple approaches to character style in these non-d&d RPGs. Sometimes the sound peaks, but it is from the raucous laughter of a group having a good time.

If you favor RP-heavy actual play podcasts, this one is for you. They definitely focus more on RP than battle-heavy mechanics, but they’re really good at it. They’re fun to listen to and they are pretty quick at dialogue in character which isn’t always easy. Overall, entertaining to listen to....Read full review »

Fun
The short games are great listening length and everyone has great chemistry together. I gave 4 stars because some of the players are louder than others and it can be a bit difficult to hear some of the quieter players sometimes.

I love APs that play multiple systems, and TableTop Potluck is an amazing example of this. The group is fun and very engaged and they do a great job of introducing us to each of the games they try. Plus I love listening to shows with so many awesome women! Keep up the great work!

I really enjoy hearing about different RPG systems and plenty of sources out there can give you a review a system. But this cast takes it one step further by actually learning the system and playing it for the audience before giving their thoughts on it. I really enjoy this, I get a much better...Read full review »

What’s great about Tabletop Potluck is that you’re not only getting to hear a fun RPG real-play podcast, you’re also able to shift to a whole new setting in just a few episodes. Whether you’d like to listen to a sea-faring story or one set in space (or anything in between), there’s probably...Read full review »

It’s really cool that we get to experience a new type of table top rpg between every few episodes. It helps mix it up so no story gets too dry or bland. Really neat!

This group is a pure delight to listen to. Everyone has such fun characters and the energy between them is infectious. They get you smiling, they get you invest and they get you feeling. The food aspect is also just super cool and the format is wonderful. New weekly rotation podcast for sure!

This is a great way to showcase a variety of games and mechanics that players may not be entirely aware of, and a good way to get little tastes of stories and games. I feel as though the time may be too short to truly get invested in the characters and the stories, but that's a minor issue...Read full review »

Taking the principle of a potluck dinner party, the team from Tabletop Potluck take it in turns to bring a new RPG to the group, playing out an adventure over a few episodes and then discussing their experience of the game in play. This podcast introduced me to the world of tabletop games, it’s really fun to listen to. Because it’s basically storytelling, it requires more attention and time, I suggest listening to it in longer chunks (e.g. when you’re doing boring housework or going bed). There are a lot of jokes and asides that can pull from the story, but also help highlight the comraderie that the podcasters are sharing. You can tell that this group has been gaming together for a while so the relationships the characters form already feel established.
