Description
This podcast episode is my submission for Lads To Leader’s Mass Communications. It will be sent in to be reviewed side by side with other 10th grade submissions. Then at the lads to leader convention, the top 3 in each grade will be recognized. I hope you enjoy this episode, as it’s not Buried Treasure, but we will continue that next week! Here is my description of the episode! If you follow Jesus in 2024, then you are countercultural. Today we live in a world that has disassociated from Jesus and the scriptures. We live in a culture where christians are maybe seen as “old fashioned” or “peculiar” for following Jesus. But Jesus has called us to a higher standard, one that we have been given by our Lord to avoid the sinful downfall all around us. We are not called to be a part of the majority of people, but to be a part of God’s people. We are called to be followers of Christ, even if that makes us go against the majority. The world preaches for us to live for ourselves, but Jesus tells us to follow Him. The world tells us that we have no master, but the Bible teaches us to follow Jesus so that we may have eternal life. Finally, the world deceives us and tells us that sin is accepted as the new normal, while Jesus teaches that sin is death and should never be excused. Jesus and His teachings have always been relevant, and they always will be. Booker T. Washington famously said, “A lie doesn’t become truth, wrong doesn’t become right and evil doesn’t become good just because it's accepted by a majority. Following God may be countercultural for us today, but following man or ourselves will not lead to an eternal salvation we want. 2024 total podcast plays: 37 2024 minutes of content: 31 minutes & 18 seconds --- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/allyson-tanksley/message

In this episode, we look at a couple of pro-abortion arguments that have been made recently to get people ready to vote. We look at the arguments they used, and see how they do not align with the Bible, or reality. I hope this episode provides some insight as election season draws even closer,...
