Great because it goes into so much detail -- very helpful for those of us who are learning this craft.

Tape is like The Paris Review interviews but for radio. In-depth conversations with radio artists that demystify the work they do for the lay-listener and gives amazing insight into the different ways people get into making radio. If only it came out more regularly. Can't recommend this one...Read full review »

I want to give you guys a full, heartfelt, deep thank you. I can't write it all in a short review, but I'll try to summarize. Thank you for providing a show that allows us access to the minds of our favorite radio heroes. And so many interviews of women! I found this show two days ago, and have...Read full review »

Great podcast for a radio/podcast/narrative story nerd such as myself. As someone who is a near obsessive fan of not only the people they get to interview but the medium/format of radio and podcasting itself, hearing the tales of how so many of my favourite presenters, producers and creators...Read full review »

This show is a delight. Just the right amount inside baseball. Definitely the best metapodcast.

This is a great podcast that looks at the stories of the people behind the stories. I find these episodes just as interesting and entertaining as the podcasts I listen to. You don't have to be a radio producer to enjoy it. Also, if my google search is accurate, Mooj Zadie looks like a member of...Read full review »

This is the show that I’ve been wishing for without realizing it. Mooj and Mickey get the coolest and most creative people in the modern public-radio/podcast landscape on their show, and ask them exactly the insightful questions I would want them to ask (if I were as super-knowledgeable as they...Read full review »

But it would be better without the intro and just get on with the interview.

I just discovered this show via the Hot Pod Newsletter, and will be listening to them all. The first one with Ben Calhoun from TAL was highly entertaining.

I’m a little embarrassed that I’m just now discovering this show. I’ve wanted a show like this for a while. One day I was telling a friend that I wished there was a really good podcast about podcasts and he said, “Oh, you mean like Tape?” I’ve been plowing through old episodes since then. My only...Read full review »

Tape offers a look into the lives of fantastic radio producers, giving you an idea of what they’re thinking, how they work, and many origin stories that give hope to aspiring radio producers. Tape is the missing addendum, the producers commentary, the behind the scenes show for true radio junkies. I quickly blew through every episode and now can't wait when a new episode pops up. This is my first iTunes review of anything, but the work you guys are doing is truly great, and very...Read full review »

I've long been a fan of "behind the scenes" radio and audio podcasts like Transom, HowSound (formerly Saltcast), etc. Tape is very different. It's not "here's a great story" with a question or two tagged on the end. It's just a long interview with a great producer, reporter, and others. The...Read full review »

I stumbled upon Tape this weekend. After listening to the first episode, I immediately subscribed. The conversations are relaxed, entertaining, and explicatory — as listeners we learn about the methods, history, and philosophy behind great radio storytelling and audio production. This is not dry...Read full review »
