The more you listen, the funnier it gets.
The brilliance of TBTL is not obvious at first glance. Like all great comedy, it's a mixture of character history and subtext that you only "get" once you know the people involved. Many of the jokes fall into the "you had to be there" category to the point that to simply call them "inside" would be insufficient.
