“I just finished Episode 12. I want to preface this by saying that I have immense respect for all of you. I have watched your journeys and been inspired.
I am a veteran teacher, though, and I felt like there were a few comments about veterans or “boomers” not embracing tech or SEL. This felt a little exclusionary to me, and I want ALL educators to be united in our efforts. I agree there are some who resist, but many of us are willing to grow and change to better serve our students. Just like young new teachers should be valued and heard, veterans deserve that same opportunity. Let’s not be divisive with each other. That’s part of why education is a mess. We have been put in competition with each other while those in charge laugh.
Again, I respect you all and appreciate your voices. I am leaving a five star rating because I value your passion and believe you are changing the educational landscape for the better.”
