Carmen y Fryda give you everything and more. Growing up Cuban, I connected immediately with the episodes pero this doesn’t mean you have to be Cuban to listen. Pull up a chair mi gente, subscribe, rate the show 5 stars and show love with a review. Remember cojelo con tiekirisi. Pa’lante! ✊🏼❤️🇨🇺❤️✊🏼

Well articulated, fun and interesting content on many things Cuban. I’ve had a hard time finding more young leaning commentaries and outlooks on Cuban culture, history and current events..beyond Miami..and this podcast does it so well. It’s been able to keep me connected to my roots in these...Read full review »

Such a refreshing podcast in what has become a very saturated market. Your stories are authentic and, for a Cuban-American who finds our content often lacking in the broader Latino media landscape (outside Miami, of course) this is awesome. Can’t wait for Season 2!

Such an interesting way to learn about my own culture. I love it!

I’m on the 4th episode and I’ve learned so much. As a Cuban American I feel like my parents sheltered me from their story. This is great podcast to listen either alone to learn about your history, or with your parents to connect with them.

When my brother suggested I listen to his friend's show I wasn’t sure I’d listen past episode 1, but now I’m invested in knowing more about the experiences of the hosts and their family. It’s neat also because I grew up in the 90’s as well so it’s like getting to know about the larger world...Read full review »

I went to Cuba in 2013 and have been looking for a way to continue my education about the all things political and cultural Cuban! Carmen’s story was so honest and raw and Fryda’s energy and enthusiasm is easy to get swept up in. Looking forward to more episodes.

Such an engaging podcast. Carmen and Fryda are such personable voices to guide the listener through a truly underrepresented subject. Their own stories and cultural insights are a unique experience that draws you in and keeps you wanting more. I can’t wait to hear all of the other subjects they...Read full review »

Very entertaining and interesting ! A lot of history and personal anecdotes ☺️ an ideal podcast to get a sense of what it is like to be from Cuba but to live in the US.

Appreciate their thoughtful point of views. As a Cuban American myself these girls have inspired me to ponder on my family’s dynamic as well and appreciate my Cuban culture more.

A tough history delivered through the form of cheerful breakfast anecdotes and family stories :) Real perspectives and stories from real people! As a child of immigrants from a different culture, their stories are a refreshing reminder of the sacrifice, tribulations, and triumphs that many...Read full review »

Thank you for giving such a thoughtful and personal view into how internet infrastructure, embargo, and government surveillance in Cuba impacted relations between family that had stayed and those that had left. This captured a very global experience that so many immigrant kids in the 90s can...Read full review »

Crazy! I’m Cuban-American with a similar immigrant experience and yet I have learned so much about Cuba in this episode. It flew by, I don’t think I stopped it once, so interesting. This Cuban-American experience is both unique and universal and this episode does a good job at showing this, all...Read full review »

In their inaugural episode, Carmen and Fryda discussed all things communication. I had forgotten about the calling cards and the restlessness I felt at the travel agency as I held my mom’s hand for what seemed like hours before she decided which card to purchase. I too would feel excited...Read full review »
