A great art sadly lost to the realms of history
Fantastic podcast. Ireland up until recent times had a history of story tellers and collectors. Sadly this tradition is in rapid decline and these stories are being lost. Listening to this podcast gave me a real insight into some of the stories my grandmother would tell and some of the characters she would mention. More than once I was listening to one of these podcasts and remember a story or something my grandparents would have mentioned over the years. What a treat it must have been to be back in olden times airing around a fire listening to the story tellers. I came on this podcast accidentally and have to say I am hooked. I really look forward to each new episode and I hope that Eddie will keep going as long as possible. If you want to hear the old time stories like your grandparents used to tell, then this is for you.

These stories are incredible, and beautifully told by a master of storytelling. Eddie, please record as many of the stories...Read full review »
