AL was not, not, dismissive or prejudiced against lower class people. Have you seen how she cares about the family of the little boy who lost his leg? Or about her agent Briggs who was sick? Or how she took Cordingley to Paris? Most of the show is based on her actual diaries. She was kind, and...Read full review »

Or is it just about bashing show and not understanding the core reading of the show?

I LOVE British TV and appreciate the backstories the hosts bring to this podcast But, while I hate to be negative, I do have to echo the other comments - it is very hard to listen to. A bit of editing and cleaning up all the “ums” and “likes” would go a long way to making it more listener...Read full review »

I enjoy this podcast and have no trouble recommending it to friends. My biggest pet peeve (in fairness this is an issue I have with other podcasts) is that the hosts sometimes forget how amplified their voices are. There’s too much cackling and going off topic on some episodes, and unfortunately...Read full review »

Ladies, I’m not sure what show you guys were watching. There were things to criticize, you didn’t mention any of those things. Did you see the last episode? Clara did the things you said you wished she had done. No, the sugar boycott wasn’t mentioned in just one episode. Georgiana literally...Read full review »

Enjoy your enthusiasm for the shows you review. (Please try to break the overuse of the filler word basically).

I love British TV, married to a Brit, was excited to find this podcast. However, my first listen was the episode about the different Professor T’s and before we even delved in, the snark was evident. I love the Belgian version and, like the reviewers, found the carbon copy British version kind of...Read full review »

No effort to engage with the WETAUK audience Just a narcissistic ’what I’m watching and what I enjoy’ + industry notes from two individuals too busy to check their comments)

Please. I realize this is not the hosts’ actual job, but if you’re going to do it, perhaps raise the level of prep. Starting with a question or premise is great and then….it all falls apart. No notes? No little list to bring you back to the actual matter at hand? Cmon guys. You both sound like...Read full review »

Listening to this podcast gives me so much joy. Period dramas are my favorite genre and I love geeking out about them. The ladies on this show have a delightful sense of humor and the sound of their laughter brings a smile to my face every time. It’s contagious! :D

Enjoying the info and banter between these two co-hosts, but please stop saying the work “like” 1M times in every sentence. You sound like two intelligent women. Don’t diminish that by dumbing down what you have to say by inserting “um” and “like” over AND over. The frequency is making my ears...Read full review »

I have been listening since episode 1 and love the podcast as well as the Tellyvisions website! Ani and Lacy provide great coverage of current Bristish shows available across all networks/streaming services as well as background on how these shows make their way to the states. And, best of all...Read full review »

I really enjoyed listening to the conversations, but I can no longer take the constant "like's" throughout every sentence. Seriously, I'll never understand how this one word has become a word virus through so many people's conversations. They have such in depth and intriguing...Read full review »

I’m sort of disappointed in this podcasts. The girls obviously don’t have a good background in the time period to review the Sanditon. Historically guilds, the merchant class, health spas along the sea are Austen time correct. The sex scenes are not Austenish.

Love your podcast! Came for Sanditon but will stay for future podcasts. 😀😀😀 you guys are great and I look forward to future episodes!

Enjoying the knowledge & honesty Lacy & Ani bring to Sanditon. Listening to them allows you to be a hopeless romantic without getting overly sappy!

Enjoy the differing perspectives on some problematic shows.

The hosts’ enthusiasm for British television is infectious! And the sound engineer’s ability to bottle that enthusiasm is first rate.

This is a great niche podcast if you love British TV. Yes there’s an emphasis on PBS shows but they explore shows beyond that too. I always enjoy podcasts more when the cohosts have great chemistry and Ani and Lacy definitely do!

I know they aren’t only reviewing Sanditon, but up to now there hasn’t been a good in-depth podcast review of the show. Really enjoying this. The hosts are funny and make good critical points. They’re off to a great start!
