Amazing Teachings
The Book of Mark is one of the best Bible Studies I’ve ever heard. Stephen’s voice and teachings on these scriptures got me through Covid-19 Quarantine with delight, joy, and intellectual engagement that kept me sane, challenged, and engaged, but the most importantly these teachings helped me fall even more in love with Jesus. This study opened lots of new doors as well as answered lots of questions. It made me want to learn so much more! The Followers of The Way was also hugely cathartic and healing. In a few episodes, Stephen explained things that had taken me 5 years to figure out and then he took it even further from there. These episodes gave me an outlet for the anxiety I was feeling about some of “the church,” put definitions to things I felt but could not pin point, and saw a way through the grime of some disturbing cultural aspects into the beautiful light of Jesus. This podcast is utterly refreshing, challenging, wise, and a true treasure. Stephen speaks many things that our modern day church/culture desperately needs to hear, but most of all just shows Jesus in a little bit more fullness.. and getting to know Jesus a bit more is always on time.
