I’m an old man, but even I can’t listen to a full hour of “man interrupts woman.”

Really enjoy this podcast. The hosts are informative and they both truly respect the movies they review even if they don’t like the film. I also like they talk facts and their opinions without interrupting each other. They do their research even on their favorite movies and give great...Read full review »

A joy to listen to. Listening to Jacob and Tab is simultaneously like listening to one of the most fascinating special features you could find about any horror movie and yet also like chatting with old friends and sharing your love for something. It’s a joy and a pleasure every time there’s a new...Read full review »

I’ve been binging Test Pattern at work, listening to every single episode from the beginning up to the current episode. They are always thoughtful and invested in the topic, and the conversations are always worth listening to even when I don’t agree. They’ve inspired me to do a podcast of my own!

This podcast continues to keep me sane during the ongoing plague of the past 4 years! I have been using it as my daily diversion from the horror of our current very real reign of terror! Thanks so very much for your thoughtful and generous analysis of an important genre.

Jacob and Tab know so much about the genre and put out a very well-produced show that is stuffed with knowledge about the movies they cover. I learn something new every time I listen!

I will always remember going to the library and getting as many books as I can with the creepiest and most gruesome covers on them. Children’s horror novels always went nuts with their artwork to really entice bloodthirsty kids like myself to read them. Now granted these were children’s books...Read full review »

For the longest time, I was a closeted horror fan. No more. A friend of mine, with whom I recently connected on Facebook, started posting links to the show, and being a podcast junkie, I decided to check it out. This podcast is long, but don’t let that scare you. It’s also detailed and well...Read full review »

Just love this podcast. Jacob and Tab are so much fun to listen to. They have some deep and interesting pulls like the Hayes Code, to H.H. Holmes, to going over It from book to films. “Try podcasts,” she said. “They’re fun,” she said. My sister knew I was an old-school radio & CD listener & that it would take something special to pull me away from my pre-programmed NPR & classic rocks stations, but the time had come. A novice to the genre, I searched “horror...Read full review »
