I’ve been listening to this The 500 podcast for the past 3 years+ now. I caught up on all the podcasts from 500 down to 332. Josh and his crew make this podcast fun with great comedic, music, TV and movie stars. Josh brings the unique perspective with comedy and his knowledge of music, along...Read full review »

Big music fan and I love the way this show is framed. The fact that JAM digs into many albums he’s unfamiliar with makes it so interesting. Learning in real time is quite a challenge and he does it well. I find myself even listening to some of these albums that I truly despise. Many thanks...Read full review »

Last few recent podcasts with big guests (!!) are interesting, but have listened to two: David Duchovny and Stop Making Sense (forgot guest) where virtually no music from album was played. Confused, thought that was 50% of the show, guest interview being the other 50%. Also confused by more...Read full review »

Keep up the good work, this is a great show to learn more about music

Josh is a great host and passionate about music. Plain n simple. It’s a great meditation to put the focus on what Rolling Stones considers the 500 most important albums of all time and contextualize those works through the intersections of our current daily lives. The show works it’s best...Read full review »

Not one for music fans, or comedy fans. Josh combines both. Some episodes are absolute belters, others a bit lame if you are not into that week's band or the guest comedian. Still only about 345 episodes to go so will stick with it for now. Keep going Josh.Read full review »

Great way to enjoy old albums and understand how different people connect to them

John Adam Meyers is very uplifting about the new music he tries, but will also let you know if he doesn't like something. Don't take the music review so seriously, a lot of it is based on an emotioanl level. He also provides facts and intersting tid bits about the album. He's a comedian!Read full review »

I love Josh and I love the guests. Really interesting concept for a podcast and very entertaining!

I love listening to this show. JAM is funny and always has great guests. This isn’t some snobby music critic picking apart things you’d never notice in a song. JAM and his guests discuss what they like and what they’d change about each album. Would highly recommend!

I really like going on this long journey through music I know and love and new music that I probably would never hear unless I followed a list like this. Do I love all the albums, no, but I am glad to have opened myself up to listening. I think this podcast does a really good job discussing how...Read full review »

This guy asks the listener to do like ten things for him (give him a 5 star rating, add him to Instagram stories, leave a comment, pick up his dry cleaning) before he even talks about the topic at hand. It’s kinda gross

A podcast hosted by the wonderful charismatic kind hilarious Josh Adam Myers. An unreal list of guests with many more to come, and unreal list of wonderful musicians. A great musical journey to be a part of

Had a blast listening to number 364… The Doors. When you guys were describing coming down the Grapevine into Valencia, listening to Riders on The Storm and LA Woman, you hit the nail squarely on the head for me. Please stop having on guests who don’t care about the album or artist you’re discussing, it’s a massive buzzkill for the episode. Other than that it’s usually good.

It’s a podcast hosted by a comedian who just wants to talk about music with interesting artists. He says he’s no Malcolm Gladwell. To be honest, I liked Jordan Temple’s take on Randy Newman’s “Good Old Boys” better than Malcom’s. Check out The 500.

Decent podcast, good guest interviews, but the hosts googly-spoogly talk will drive you around the bend. Seriously Josh, it’s enough already - you sound like an idiot.

The interviews/discussions are pretty good depending on album and talent of show. I can say when the host talks baby talk it’s super weird. I’m not sure if this is his comedy routine? Lots of made up words kadoodle, snoozele and other rhyming words.

Josh and company have a great thing going. I went back and listened to all of the albums that I already loved.
