Informative & Engaging Listen
It's rare to see a podcast that can tackle various social issues without things getting lost in the shuffle or info overload--The Fifty One's emphasis on highlighting issues on a local level is one of the rare gems where you feel like you're getting the whole picture AND the local solutions. I just finished the episode on The Role of Ethnic Markets & Bodegas and felt like I walked away with a foundation of knowledge that I definitely didn't have before...I had no idea how much representation played a role in food solutions. It's also worth noting that the podcast is super easy to listen to. Great mix of voices and perspectives, and engaging the entire time. The Fifty One gets you noticing things in your community you might not have before, and I can't wait to keep listening. Bravo for highlighting local reporters and turning this into such a solution-focused space!Read full review »
