I’m an MAMFT student and thoroughly enjoy the podcast. It would be really help if the title included a small descriptor noting the topic. Such as: Episode 1: Jane Doe - CBT Again, thanks for this great resource

As a student in an MAMFT program, I have enjoyed many of the episodes. Thanks! My only suggestion would be to title them differently. I’d like for the title to mention the topic each episode is about. The name of the guest (the way titles are now) does not help audiences find subjects they are...Read full review »

I have learned a tremendous amount from this podcast on the systemic model of marriage and family therapy. Institutions do not train well on the nuances of the relational model…(at least my program did not) and I was able to glean a lot from each of the people the host brought on. Dr. Eli Karam...Read full review »

I’m not sure who has 20 minutes to spend name-dropping and talking about bios but, I don’t! I’ll go back to “the books”!

The guests and content are usually amazing for a systemic therapist that works in a medical model world. But, often, the guests and host distance themselves from the average listener (provider). I’ve listened for over a year and nearly every episode there is a long rolled out list of...Read full review »

I certainly enjoy Dr. Eli Karam and the AAMFT podcast! Discovered it fairly frequently and added it to my growing list of “podcasts not to miss.” Some of my favorite AAMFT podcast programs thus far have featured the following remarkable individuals: Cloe Madanes, Monica McGoldrick, Manijeh...Read full review »

Getting the sound issues dialed in, but great for MFTs.

I love the content on this podcast, but I end up turning it off fairly quickly because I am having to work to hear what is being said clearly - and there are plenty of other podcasts that have similar content of high quality AND quality sound.

We can read books written by leaders in our field. We can hear them speak at conferences. We can learn their theories. But what about the "person" behind the theory. Knowing more about what makes leaders "tick," brings their work to life. Thanks, Eli, for doing this!Read full review »

The AAMFT podcast is a treasure. When I was training to become an MFT in the late 1999s, I longed to hear the voices of the leaders in the field, the authors of my books, and innovators of models. The AAMFT podcast provides an easily accessible archive of classic interviews.

Dr. Eli is the MFT voice of our generation. I learn something new every time I listen to one of his podcasts. This should be required listening for all MFT students!

This is a great complement to my training as a MFT. You can tell how passionate and knowledgeable Dr. Eli is about the profession and how much homework he does for each one of his guest. I wish they were released every week...thanks AAMFT! Keep them coming!

Dr. Eli is my hero! He asks great questions that are relevant to practicing therapists, old and young alike. The interviews with the pioneers are my favorite...keep them coming! It’s like my FT text book coming to life. AAMFT should promote this show better.

I am a Marriage and Family Therapy masters student and I am really getting a lot out of hearing from the innovators in the field. I look forward to each podcast and have learned so much from each conversation! Thanks for this platform!

This podcast is more of a personal conversation with leaders of the industry and their journey to become who they are.

A very interesting interview with Dr. Sue Johnson! The sound quality of the interview is inconsistent and full of echos.
